Andrea Adams, Bainbridge, WA

As a child, Andrea drew from her books and imagination by making paper dolls. These early “characters” started her on the path to a lifetime of storytelling. She kept journals and wrote letters about her adventures as a young adult engaged in careers in alternative energy, human resources, marketing, environmental nonprofit management and ecotourism. Her recent writings include “Bernese Buddha” in Secret Histories: Stories of Courage, Risk, and Revelation, edited by Brenda Peterson, and “Lake MacDonald” for The Inside Trail, edited by John Hagen. She is currently working on a book about an unusual parenting odyssey.
